The IPC supports National Reconciliation Week, 27 May – 3 June 2026

The IPC proudly supports National Reconciliation Week (NRW), held each year from 27 May to 3 June. NRW provides an opportunity for all Australians to deepen their understanding of our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to reflect on how each of us can actively contribute to reconciliation in Australia.

Reconciliation Australia’s 2026 theme, ‘All In’, is a call for everyone to move beyond observation and take meaningful action to drive change. It encourages Australians to commit fully to reconciliation, not just during NRW, but every day. The theme also reinforces that reconciliation, and the advancement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights are not passive processes, nor are they the sole responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried this responsibility for far too long. Reconciliation will not happen on its own, it requires the collective commitment of us all.

The Information and Privacy Commission NSW is committed to promoting the right to access government-held information and the protection of privacy of people within diverse communities in NSW and aims to ensure that its services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are accessible, relevant and useful.
