The MNDB Scheme requires that NSW public sector agencies (‘agencies’) notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner when there has been an ‘eligible data breach’.

The Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNDB) Scheme requires NSW public sector agencies to notify the NSW Privacy Commissioner and provide notifications to affected individuals in the event of an eligible data breach of their personal or health information by an agency or state-owned corporation subject to the PPIP Act.
