Agency Information Guide

The Information and Privacy Commission (IPC) has published its Agency Information Guide (AIG) in accordance with section 20 of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act). It provides a mechanism to make government information accessible, promote currency of information and appropriate release, and support the management of government information as a strategic asset.

The full AIG can be downloaded as a PDF here. Alternatively, click on a quadrant in the infographic below to access the relevant section of the AIG (not viewable on mobile devices).

In 2018, the IPC completed a follow up review of the AIGs of the ten principal departments and the IPC, with results demonstrating significant improvements in compliance levels by NSW principal agencies.
