Apply for an external review by the Information Commissioner 

Use this form if you are applying for an external review by the Information Commissioner of a reviewable decision under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

Following completion of this form, your application will be registered in the IPC's system and referred to the relevant staff member for a response. You will receive an acknowledgement within 2 business days. Should you NOT receive correspondence from the IPC after this time, please contact the IPC on 1800 472 679 or via ipcinfo@ipc.nsw.gov.au.

Timeframes

Please note that due to a significant increase in the number of requests received by the IPC, the timeframes for dealing with new external review matters have been extended. We currently anticipate a timeframe of 4-6 months for allocation to a case officer. We greatly appreciate your patience while we respond to this increase in matters.
